Information technology isn't (and is) important In early 2003 it was noted that the only two computer companies that were performing consistently well on the stock exchange were Dell and IBM. The reason suggested for Dell's performance was that IT was no longer important, in that everyone was already using it, and companies only needed to purchase new equipment for additional staff or for occassional upgrades or replacing failed machines. Dell had a good name for providing reliable, and inexpensive computers to meet that need. On the other hand, IBM provided innovation at the high end of the market. So from one we see the need to be computer literate, because computers are an integral part of business today, and secondly the need to keep up-to-date, because innovation is still a large ingredient of the IT world. All of our courses are now accessible online for FREE.
